Betty Mae (Nale) Cherney, of Westminster, MD, passed away on August 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born April 11, 1939, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Nale and was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Cherney, three siblings, and survived by her brother Charles. Betty is also survived by sons Gregory (Claudia) and Ragen (Robin), grandchildren Gregory II, Kiera, and Juliana, and many nieces and nephews. A member of Westminster Bible Church, Betty loved reading, puzzles, cooking, and family gatherings—especially the annual Nale reunion held in Johnstown for over 75 years.
