Carroll Community College has appointed Caitlin A. Christ, CFRE, as Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and the College Foundation. In this role, she will lead fundraising and community engagement efforts to support the college’s strategic priorities, including workforce development, career pathways, and expanded access to education.
College President Rosalie Mince praised Christ’s appointment, highlighting her 17+ years of experience in mission-driven fundraising across education, healthcare, and community organizations.
Mince reports, “her reputation as a relationship-centered fundraiser and collaborative leader, and her belief in connecting donors’ values to tangible impact, will be invaluable to our mission. We are confident that under her leadership, the Foundation will inspire even greater community support, creating career pathways and expanding opportunity for our students across Carroll County.”
Christ brings a broad background in philanthropy, with experience spanning donor stewardship, major gifts, corporate and foundation partnerships, and long-term fundraising strategy. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Marketing and Development at Everstand (formerly Board of Child Care), where she led a comprehensive advancement program covering annual giving, grants, partnerships, and communications.
She holds a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University, and serves as President-Elect of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Maryland Chapter. Together, her expertise and local roots position her to effectively connect community support with the college’s mission.
“My goal is to connect our community’s generosity to the College’s strategic plan, whether that’s workforce development, career pathways, or creating access to education,” said Christ. “Community colleges are truly shaped by the investment of the people they serve, and I’m honored to help ensure that education remains the most powerful driver of opportunity in Carroll County. When our students succeed, our whole community succeeds.”
