Carolyn “Carol” L. Bankert, 81, of Westminster, MD, passed away on September 25, 2025, at her home. Born December 9, 1943, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Richard and Alice Ash and the beloved wife of the late L. Brian Bankert. Carol enjoyed trips to Ocean City, shopping, holiday decorating—especially Christmas—gardening, and time with her family. She is survived by her children Edward, Jake, and Peggy Sue; grandchildren Robbie, Krystal, Jessica, Megan, Racheal, Micheal, and Shawn; siblings Richard Jr., Ronald, Brenda, and Ralph; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her friend Bill Ludwig and siblings Robert and Mary Ash.
