The Carroll County Board of Commissioners and the Department of Planning and Land Management invite the public to attend the fourth annual Carroll EnviroFest on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Robert Moton Center, located at 300 South Center Street in Westminster.
This free, family-friendly event brings together community organizations focused on environmental stewardship, including groups like Friends of Liberty Reservoir and Piney Run Nature Center. The goal is to educate attendees on sustainable practices that help protect and preserve Carroll County’s natural resources.
This year’s EnviroFest will feature a variety of engaging activities for all ages. A high school recycled art contest will be on display, with guests invited to vote for their favorite creations. Younger visitors can enjoy the University of Maryland Insect Zoo, while adults can learn from live demonstrations on initiatives such as Maryland’s 5 Million Trees: Trees for Your Neighborhoods and the Carroll County Recycling Office’s Recycle Coach program. These presentations aim to inspire practical steps for environmental conservation at home and in the community.
In addition to the educational components, the event offers fun and interactive experiences, including a tulip bulb giveaway, a plant cutting swap, and houseplant BINGO. Attendees can also enter a drawing to win a rain barrel or compost bin. With something for everyone, Carroll EnviroFest is a chance to connect with neighbors, learn from local experts, and support a greener future.
