Charles “Charlie” Lloyd Pickett, 87, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully at home on November 4, 2025. Born August 1, 1938, in Baltimore, he was the son of Raynard and Mary Estelle Pickett and the devoted husband of Dorothy Mae Ely Pickett for 69 years. A 1956 Sykesville High School graduate, Charlie worked as a welder for Westinghouse Corporation before joining R.M. Schmidt, Inc. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bingo, puzzles, and scratch-offs. Survived by his wife, three children, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, Charlie will be remembered for his warmth and dedication.
