Food Truck Sunday Funday

There will be children’s crafts and activities. Children can bounce all day at the bouncy house for $5. Come visit our Farmyard Friends, live entertainment, vendor marketplace, tour the Farmhouse, visit artisans and so much more! Don’t forget to vote for your favorite truck in our Favorite Food Truck Contest. The favorite truck will win a spot at the Maryland Wine Festival. Free parking and admission. Pets not allowed; no alcohol. Rain or shine.

Flag Day

Local Boy and Girls Scouts perform a flag ceremony and retire old flags appropriately.

Taneytown Wine & Brew Fest

Music that includes the Monte Leister Quartet from Noon-2pm and Abe Ovadia who is a Jazz guitarist from 2:30-3:30 p.m., a petting zoo, kid’s zone, crafters, to an array of food vendors and more! Tasting is $10.00 which features Brewery Fire, Great Shoals Winery, Ile Dolce & Olney Winery and Miscellaneous Distillery.

Let Freedom Ring Parade

The second edition of the Let Freedom Ring Parade will start at 4 p.m. and travel the length of Historic Main Street. Marching bands, old cars, floats, and other patriotic elements on Main Street will please the whole family. Cheer for the participants and enjoy a small town Fourth of July celebration.

July 3

Mount Airy Fireworks Community Celebration of Independence Day

Bring chairs or a blanket, along with a cooler of beverages to celebrate Independence Day with our Mount Airy neighbors. Bring a Frisbee or football to throw while the music is playing. There will be delicious food available for purchase. Corn hole will be available, courtesy of the Mount Airy Main Street Association (MAMSA); patriotic face painting will also be available.

July 4

Fourth of July Celebration

Join us for a Fourth of July celebration with food, fun, fireworks and much more. The Crawdaddies will be providing live entertainment from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. After 5 p.m., a $5 donation to Westminster Kiwanis Club per car. Fireworks sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Westminster begin at 9:30. Rain date is July 5.

First Responders Night

Bring the kids to see the emergency vehicles up close. Police cars, fire engines, ambulances and more. Come and support our local first responders, and thank them for helping to keep us safe.

Common Ground on the Hill Music and Arts Festival

Enjoy American, bluegrass, blues, Celtic, old-time, Native American, world and more. Four stages, juried arts and crafts, food, and yoga throughout the day and a wine/beer garden.

July 13 & 27

Music in the Park Series

The Hampstead Train Station Committee, Inc. will be sponsoring free “Music in the Park” concerts the second and fourth Saturdays in June, July, and August, and the second Saturday in September at the Main Street Memorial Park.
Music will be performed from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Seating will be available on a “first come, first served” basis starting at 4 p.m. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. waynehthomas@qis.net.

July 21

Firefighter 50 Bike Ride

The Eighth Annual Firefighter 50 cycling event will offer great cycling in Northern Carroll County and Eastern Frederick County, and in Southern Adams County, Pa. All rides start and finish in the village of Pleasant Valley (about 6 miles west of Westminster). This year we have five great routes. We have road loops of 35 miles, 50 miles, plus a Century Route (100 miles) and a new Metric Century Route (62 miles). We have an updated 35-mile combo paved and dirt road ride called the Dirty 30. We will provide an all you can eat firefighter lunch and fully supported rides.

July 26 – Aug. 3

Carroll County 4H & FFA Fair

We hope to see everyone at this year’s fair to take in all of the great exhibits, livestock shows, food, entertainment and family fun! There are many family-friendly events, including a demolition derby, monster trucks, a tractor pull and our famous Saturday night concert. Admission is free (some events have a fee).
