September 29 – November 3

“50th Anniversary of the Lunar Moon Landing” Corn Maze

Open weekends from Sept. 29 until Nov. 3 on Fridays from 6 – 10 p.m.; Saturdays 2 – 10 p.m.; and Sundays Noon – 5 p.m. Admission $10 for adults, $5 for children 5-15, under 5 free.

Oktoberfest – Rotary Clubs of Carroll County

Family activities, as well as authentic style German foods, beers, and music. Children’s activities will include face painting, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, magic shows, balloon sculptors, and many games.
Noon – 8 p.m. & Oct. 6, Noon – 6 p.m. Free admission for those arriving in authentic German attire Admission $10, children ages 10 and under are free. Save $2 with a donation of 5 non-perishable food items to go to Westminster Rescue Mission.

Music on the Main – Downtown New Windsor

Enjoy live music, beer and wine garden, food, craft vendors, children activities and more.

Wings of Freedom Tour

Visit the Carroll County Regional Airport to experience World War II history on the ground and in the air with the Wings of Freedom Tour. See original WWII warbirds up-close and personal with walk through tours of authentically restored interiors of the B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator and see the B-25 Mitchell, P-51 Mustang, and P-40 Warhawk on the ramp as well.

Fall Harvest Celebration

There will be fun crafts, activities and food for all ages including: Make-Your-Own-Scarecrow, pumpkin decorating, children’s craft tent, tractor wagon rides, artisan demonstrations, car show (weather permitting), delicious food, face painting, vendor market place, corn cannon, live entertainment, and more. No pets or alcohol please.

5th Annual Westminster Oyster Stroll

Shop, slurp and stroll through Downtown Westminster! This event benefits the Coastal Conservation Association and Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

A Culinary Experience to benefit RCIS

Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County (RCIS) will host the 20th Annual “A Culinary Experience” fundraiser. Local restaurants, caterers, and bakeries will showcase their specialties of everything from appetizers to desserts. The event also features a Silent Auction, basket and gift raffles.

City Slickers Ball

Benefiting Children’s Roads to Recovery, Inc and dedicated to helping critically ill children and their families. Event will feature food, beverages, live music by “Bootleg”, gaming wheels, raffles and a silent auction.

Spooky Saturday – Downtown Westminster

Join us for a Spooky Saturday! Ghost Tour Departing from Westminster Library (Registration Required) at 1 p.m., Haunted House (Eternal Rest Haunted Hotel) at the Westminster Library from 2 – 7 p.m. and Trick or Treat, Crafts, Games, and Refreshments on Main Street from 3 – 6 p.m.

Trick or Treat on Main Street from 5 – 7 p.m.!

Carroll Hospital Auxiliary Ball

Join the Carroll Hospital Auxiliary at Martin’s Westminster for a night of sophisticated philanthropic fun to celebrate the Ball’s 60th anniversary and raise funds for the renovation of The Family Birthplace at Carroll Hospital.

Sykesville Craft Beer Festival

The Sykesville Craft Beer Festival has the best of local microbreweries and food trucks! FireKite will provide entertainment and a free shuttle service will be available.

Carroll County Christmas Markets Open House

Free cake and punch for customers. 65-75 vendors with locally produced items. Gourmet foods, home baked goods of all kinds including cakes, pies, scones, cookies! Fresh eggs, honey, cheeses, wine, and much more.
8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Carroll County Agricultural Center, 706 Agricultural Center Dr., Westminster.

November 19

Historical Society of Carroll County Box Lunch Talk – R.O.T.C.

During the Civil War, Congress voted to provide free land for civilian colleges that agreed to offer military instruction to their students. In 1916, this “land-grant” system of military training was transformed into the present-day Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. Otto Guenther explores how McDaniel College’s 100-year-old R.O.T.C. program has evolved and the contributions R.O.T.C. officers make to the United States Army. Historical society volunteers provide beverages & desserts.

November 30

Annual Christmas Mart – Union Bridge Fire Company

The Union Bridge Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary is having their Annual Christmas Mart. Breakfast and lunch will be available. There will be multiple vendors, door prizes, raffles and Santa’s corner for kids, where they will meet Santa, get a goody bag and be able to make crafts for free.
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Union Bridge Fire Company Social Hall, 8 W. Locust St., Union Bridge.

Miracle on Main – Downtown Westminster

5 p.m. Holiday Electric Parade. Annual Tree Lighting immediately following parade at Locust Lane. Santa’s Treat immediately following Tree Lighting at the Westminster Public Library. There will be crafts, games, face painting and you can visit with Santa!
5 – 8 p.m. Locust Lane, Westminster.
