Edith Hilda Wantz (née Hilbert), of Emmitsburg, MD, passed away on November 6, 2025. Born October 12, 1930, in Taneytown, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Hilbert and the devoted wife of the late David B. Wantz, Sr. Raised on a family farm with nine siblings, Edith cherished family above all. She was active and social, excelling in bowling, bingo, and family games, and proudly cheering for the Orioles and Ravens. For 50 years, she visited Total Look Salon weekly and loved her chats with Sheila. Edith’s greatest joy was caring for her family, hosting Thanksgiving until age 90, and celebrating her great-grandchildren’s accomplishments.
