Elaine Thompson, 102, of Sykesville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. Born August 25, 1923, in Marriottsville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Earl Preston Zepp and Mary Grace Ways Zepp and the beloved wife of the late Grover Clarence Thompson Sr., with whom she shared 73 years of marriage. Elaine was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family, enjoying cooking, babysitting, dancing, and traveling. She worked for over 25 years in the billing department at A&P. She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
