Elizabeth “Betty” Johnson, 85, passed away on June 3, 2025. A University of Maryland alumna, she co-founded the Huntsville Group Home for Girls, aiding at-risk youth. Active in the Episcopal and later Catholic Church, she led regional workshops in leadership and communication. Betty also worked as an organizational consultant and supported individuals through life transitions. In 1985, she and her husband opened Fayetteville’s first bed and breakfast, which she operated for 28 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister who loved travel and needlework. She is survived by her sons, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.
