Art Exhibition: Witness to Transformation

The Carroll County Arts Council, in collaboration with the Historical Society of Carroll County, presents Witness to Transformation, an art exhibition featuring the work of local artist Ruth Aukerman. Part of the Maryland 250 commemoration, the exhibition explores the theme of revolution, examining both its historical significance during the Revolutionary era and its relevance today. Revolution is interpreted broadly—as a turning point, a dramatic shift, or a movement toward renewal—manifesting in technological innovation, cultural change, personal growth, or community resilience.

The show highlights the enduring power of transformation and creativity, inviting viewers to reflect on universal ideas of progress and renewal. The opening reception will be held Thursday, January 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., offering attendees a chance to meet the artists while enjoying lite fare. The exhibition is appropriate for all ages and free to the public.
