Foreign Film Festival: The Seed of the Sacred Fig
The 2024 political drama The Seed of the Sacred Fig, running 2 hours and 48 minutes and rated PG-13, will be screened at 1:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Produced in Iran and presented in Persian, the film follows Iman, a judge working for an investigative court in Tehran, as political unrest and paranoia grip the nation. When his personal firearm mysteriously disappears from his home, Iman accuses his wife and young daughter of the theft and imposes strict control over his family, even as the city outside their walls descends into chaos.
