Suicide Prevention Day at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, offer hope, remember those who have been lost, and remind those who may be struggling that they do not have to face difficult times alone. In observance of World Suicide Prevention Day, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will open its doors on September 10 from 1 to 9 p.m. for anyone who would like to light a candle in honor or memory of someone whose life has been touched by suicide.
Community members are invited to stop by for a few quiet moments of remembrance, prayer and hope. All are welcome. The gathering is intended to provide a place for compassion, reflection and connection while reminding those who are struggling that they are not alone and that help and hope are available. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is located at 15773 Dover Road, Upperco, MD 21155. For more information, call 410-239-3456 or visit www.stpaulsupperco.org.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church encourages the community to come together in faith and support, continuing to be a place where people feel welcomed, cared for and reminded that there is hope.
