Westminster, MD — Carroll County Commissioner Tom Gordon has received a key endorsement in his re-election campaign from the Carroll County Professional Fire Fighters & Paramedics Association, IAFF Local 5184.
The union praised Gordon’s consistent support of public safety, citing his hands-on approach and meaningful engagement with fire and EMS personnel throughout his time in office.
“Commissioner Gordon has gone beyond general promises,” the union said in a statement. “He listens, he engages, and he acts. His leadership has helped shape a stronger, more sustainable fire and EMS department.”
The endorsement highlights Gordon’s role in supporting competitive pay and benefits, improving service quality, and strengthening recruitment and retention efforts.
In response, Gordon said he was honored by the trust of the county’s first responders. “It’s been a privilege to work with those who serve our community every day. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to continuing that progress.”
The endorsement signals growing momentum for Gordon as the election approaches, especially among voters who prioritize public safety and steady leadership.
