Frederick “Fred” Gilmore Scheller, 89, of Taneytown, MD, passed away on October 22, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center. Born November 18, 1935, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Harry and Naomi (Dayhoff) Scheller. Married to his beloved wife, Betty Victoria, for 72 years, Fred worked over 30 years at Random House in Westminster and later for NAPA Auto Parts. A passionate antique car enthusiast and member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, he especially loved Cushman Scooters and his 1964½ Mustang. He is survived by his wife, four children, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
