Gloria Schneider Braughton (née Simonsen), 75, of Sykesville, MD, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at Carroll Hospital Center with her husband, Mel, by her side. Born November 11, 1949, in Baltimore, she grew up in Dundalk and dedicated her life to family, faith, and hard work. Gloria worked in banking before becoming Office Administrator at The William Schneider Co. / Gaither Manor Apartments, where she remained until her passing. A talented quilter and devoted member of Gaither United Methodist Church, she was known for her generosity, strength, and warmth. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, children, stepfamily, grandchildren, and many friends.
