Harding David “Gubby” Hanson, 78, of Westminster, passed away on August 27, 2025, at home. Born February 21, 1947, he was the son of Harding “Hank” and Mary Gladys Hanson. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Yvonne Petry Hanson. A retired carpenter, Gubby enjoyed hunting, coin collecting, westerns—especially Gunsmoke—and was a loyal Redskins fan. He is also survived by daughter Melissa Hunter, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, a brother, and close family friend Debbie Gilbert. He was predeceased by daughter Tina Utz and brothers Stanley, Robert, and Phillip Hanson. He will be deeply missed.
