Helen Myrtle Peters, 99, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at BridgingLife’s Dove House. Born September 13, 1926, in Howard County, she was the daughter of Harry and Myrtle Affeldt and the wife of the late Frank Peters. Helen was primarily a homemaker and also worked for several years in a clerical role at the former Simpkins Company. She loved family trips to Deep Creek Lake and Ocean City and remained active well into her later years, caring for her home and yard. She is survived by her son and family and will be fondly remembered for her independence and devotion to family.
