Relationships matter—personal, professional, and community. Trust is the foundation of a financial advisor-client bond. I keep the little rock from this picture on my windowsill as a daily reminder of what my work is truly about.
As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), I guide clients through a structured, principled process rooted in solid financial planning fundamentals. My practice emphasizes transparency, the avoidance of conflicts of interest, and a steadfast commitment to making decisions exclusively in the client’s interest—standards that are non-negotiable. Failing to uphold them would jeopardize both my professional credibility and my certifications. Beyond this responsibility, there are additional foundational elements of a trust-focused advisor relationship. Trust allows for an accurate and complete exchange of your goals, dreams, concerns, and personal priorities—knowing your information is held with absolute confidentiality.
My mentor once said, “We have two ears and one mouth—use them proportionally.” It’s a principle I live by. Listening deeply builds clarity, connection, and trust. Furthermore, our team operates on the “Platinum Rule”: Treat people the way they want to be treated. Intentional listening, focusing on what’s being said versus thinking about what you want to say next, is essential to providing advice based on the “Platinum Rule”.
Our client relationships begin with the first meeting and continue through updates—via phone, text, conference call, and in-person check-ins. These moments let us explore all aspects of your life—your family, values, philanthropy, and finances—and deepen our understanding of your needs over time. The consistency of our interactions and taking the time to listen is a continuing exercise in building trust.
Our interactive process helps educate clients on key financial concepts—like tax implications, risk management, and retirement transitions. We ensure a complete and transparent review of the costs and benefits of different strategies, strengthening your confidence. As clients engage with us, we provide organization amongst their other trusted advisors by providing prompt responses and collaboration with their CPA, estate attorney, and insurance experts demonstrating our care for the entire scope of financial wellness.
For our team, trust enables open dialogue, tailored guidance, and stronger decision-making—especially when markets are volatile or life circumstances shift. It transforms a working relationship into a partnership grounded in mutual respect and long-term success. The rock on my windowsill doesn’t just symbolize what I do—it reminds me why I do it: To build enduring, trust-based relationships that empower financial futures.
