Hampstead, MD will soon welcome back a beloved tradition with the opening of Little G’s Diner in June 2025 at 1365 N. Main Street—the former site of the long-closed Hampstead Diner. This new eatery will revive the spirit of community, comfort food, and connection that locals have missed for over seven years.
“I can’t believe we are getting a Diner back, we used to enjoy taking our kids to the Hampstead Diner when they were little for breakfast milk shakes. It was a great tradition that im looking forward to reviving!” – Local Hampstead, MD resident Jennifer Lleras

The diner is the vision of Christopher and Katie Coil, a local couple known for their successful ventures: the food truck Bebo’s Mac Shack and KC Elite Hospitality catering. The name “Little G’s” honors their young son, Grayson, whose vibrant personality inspired both the name and logo.
Chris, a Carroll County native and Francis Scott Key High School graduate, brings more than 25 years of culinary experience to the project. Katie, originally from North Carolina, handles operations with her business and HR background. Their shared commitment to quality, resilience through challenges like launching during the pandemic, and deep community ties drive this new chapter.
Leading up to the opening, Bebo’s Mac Shack will serve lunch and Grayson’s fresh-squeezed lemonade from the back lot of the diner and at local events beginning April 2025. Followers can stay updated on social media for schedules, menus, and behind-the-scenes previews.
Once open, Little G’s Diner will operate Tuesday through Sunday, 6 AM to 3 PM, offering all-day breakfast and hearty lunch favorites. With the motto “Exceptional food and even better vibes,” the Coils aim to create a welcoming space where family, friends, and flavor come together.
More than just a restaurant, Little G’s is a heartfelt effort to rekindle a community hub—bringing back the hometown diner experience Hampstead has missed.
