James “Jim” Edgar Bowers, 82, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born in Baltimore on February 9, 1943, he grew up in Frederick, MD, and enlisted in the U.S. Army at 17, serving proudly as a Unit Supply Specialist. After his service, he worked 18 years as a mail carrier in Anne Arundel County before retiring to Westminster, MD. Jim loved nature, birdwatching, hiking, puzzles, and woodcarving. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn, his three children, two grandchildren, and two siblings. Jim will be remembered for his faith, love, and dedication.
