James Edgar McElroy, 93, of Westminster, MD, passed away on January 27, 2026, at Westminster Healthcare Center. Born May 20, 1932, he was the son of James W. and Mary McElroy and the husband of the late Ruth McElroy. James worked for Southern States in Westminster and enjoyed fishing, boating, and watching western TV shows. He is survived by his children Doreen, Linda, Michael, Debbie, Kathy, and Michelle; siblings Brenda, Ronnie, William, and Martin; 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son Lesly and sister Joann Reazin.
