James Smallwood Nichols, 90, of Clarksville, MD, passed away on September 29, 2025. Born October 19, 1934, he was a lifelong farmer and co-owner of Fenton Farms with his late brother. Jim and his late wife, Dale, were married for 66 years and longtime members of Linden Linthicum United Methodist Church. A 1952 Clarksville High graduate, he served the agricultural community through the Howard County Farm Bureau and USDA boards. He loved hunting, reading, baseball, and family time. Survived by three children, three grandchildren, and many cherished memories, Jim leaves a legacy of dedication to faith, family, and farming.
