Janet Lilly Ruth Johnson, 80, of Richmond, Virginia, formerly of Westminster, Maryland, passed peacefully on February 3, 2026. Born in Miami and raised in Connecticut, she graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1967, demonstrating lifelong dedication to education and excellence. A devoted wife of 42 years to Robert Johnson, she built a life centered on faith, family, and service. Janet taught in Carroll County schools, later working in management, and was a pillar of Union Street United Methodist Church. A proud Delta Sigma Theta member, she loved art, music, sports, and especially her family, whose lives reflect her enduring love and guidance.
