Jean Bond Finley passed away peacefully on November 20, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Danville, Virginia, she earned nursing degrees from Averett College and the Medical College of Virginia, later teaching nursing there. After raising two sons, she earned a Master’s in Library Science from LSU and worked as a medical librarian, especially cherishing her time at UNOS. A devoted member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, she dedicated her retirement to service and ministry. Jean loved entertaining, traveling, crafting, and reading. She is survived by her husband Bill, two sons, sister Susan, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings.
