JoAnna Kaye “Jo” Swope, 72, of Taneytown, MD, passed away on November 25, 2025, at BridgingLife Dove House Hospice. Born July 2, 1953, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lorraine John and Adele Marie Stonesifer. Jo married her devoted husband, Donald Lee Swope, on March 18, 2007, in Las Vegas. She retired as a warehouse supervisor at Random House and later from Elmer Wolfe Elementary as a beloved lunch lady. Jo enjoyed camping and spending time with her cat, Ziggy. She is survived by her husband, son Darrin, four siblings, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Lorraine and Theresa.
