John Arthur Streat, 80, passed away on April 20, 2025, in the comfort of family and caring medical professionals at Bridging Life in Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD. Born April 10, 1945, in Cumberland, Virginia, he was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and later worked 25 years at PepsiCo in Baltimore. In 1974, he married Shirley Fay Neal, and they built a loving home in Marriottsville, Maryland for 41 years. John was a devoted brother, uncle, and bonus father to Melvin Brooks, Jr. and Cheryl Hayes. He is survived by five siblings, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends who deeply cherished his love and kindness.
