Joseph Eugene Mentzell, 77, of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away at home on August 29, 2025. Born December 7, 1947, in Baltimore, he was the beloved husband of the late Carol June Mentzell, to whom he was married for 53 years. Joseph enjoyed painting, cooking, and was renowned for his homemade rolls. He founded several businesses, including DataMagic, and retired from Digital Receiver Technology. He is survived by his children Jonathan and Gregory, grandchildren, step-granddaughter, and sisters Bonnie and Shirley. Joseph was preceded in death by his sisters Joannie and Jeannie.
