Joseph “Seton” Cool, 85, of Emmitsburg, MD, passed away on December 6, 2025. Born in 1940 in Gettysburg, he was the youngest and last surviving of 13 children of George and Alice Cool. He is remembered lovingly by nephew Gerard Cool, great-niece Jennifer Cool, and extended family. A devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Joseph worked at St. Joseph’s College, Mount St. Mary’s, and Mountain Gate. Known for his gentle spirit, he enjoyed nature, birdwatching, sculpting, painting, woodworking, and photography, capturing treasured family memories in his own darkroom.
