Karen Amelia (Mock) Brown passed peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Born and raised in Baltimore, she graduated from Overlea High in 1963 and earned a BS from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 1982. After two decades in the corporate world, Karen followed her passion for art—working in calligraphy, painting, collage, and art quilting, often blending words and images to create meaning. A devoted mother, grandmother, and woman of deep faith, Karen cherished her family and her community at Grace Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many dear friends and relatives.
