Leonard George Wantz, Jr., 85, of Taneytown, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Carroll Hospital Center, surrounded by his family. Born May 29, 1940, he was the beloved husband of A. Elaine Wantz for 63 years and a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A man of deep faith and community service, Leonard founded Wantz Chevrolet in 1964 and proudly led the family business for 62 years. He was active in church, civic organizations, and youth sports, and was known for his generosity, leadership, and unwavering dedication to family and community.
