Lloyd Edward “Bud” Barkdoll, 85, of Taneytown, MD, passed away on April 5, 2025. Born July 21, 1939, he was the son of Lloyd R. and Leona Barkdoll, and the devoted husband of Lois Ruth Barkdoll. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Bud served from 1958–63, specializing in Morse code translation. After his military service, he became a successful management specialist for McCrory’s. In retirement, he explored his artistic talents, creating intricate coloring book art and fabric crafts. A music lover, gardener, and animal advocate, Bud also achieved National Wildlife Habitat Certification. He is survived by his sister Joan and niece Lori.
