Lois Marie Bloom (née Borgmann), 68, of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2026, after a battle with dementia. Born in Baltimore, she was the beloved wife of Abraham Bloom for more than 46 years. Lois graduated from Woodlawn Senior High School and served in the U.S. Army as a signals intelligence operator, where she met her husband while stationed in Berlin, Germany. Following her honorable discharge, she continued her work in signals intelligence at the National Security Agency, retiring in 2012 after 33 years of federal service. Lois also enjoyed home design and gardening. She is survived by her husband, children, grandson, and sister.
