Louis Frederick “Lou” Schaub, 77, of Westminster, Maryland, passed away on March 20, 2026. A U.S. Navy veteran who served during Vietnam, he dedicated 32 years to the Montgomery County Fire Department, retiring as Battalion Chief. Lou was a graduate of DuVal High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science from the University of Maryland University College. A devoted husband of nearly 51 years, he cherished family above all, especially supporting his grandchildren at their activities. Known for his humor and love of pranks, Lou is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, brother, and extended family.
