Lyle D. Lettie, Sr., 83, of Sykesville, passed away on December 31, 2025, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born January 1, 1942, in Porter, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Don and Laura Lettie and the devoted husband of Julia “Judy” Lettie. A 1960 graduate of Sykesville High School, Lyle spent his career as a rural mail carrier with the Sykesville Post Office. He enjoyed building projects, gardening, and time at the slots, but treasured his family most of all, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, children, siblings, and a large extended family.
