Born in Newark, New Jersey, she shared 64½ years of marriage with her beloved husband, Bill De Lorenzo. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a lifelong educator who earned degrees in English, Speech, and Communications and co-authored a professional teaching manual, presenting internationally. Creative and warm-hearted, she loved quilting, reading, baking treasured family recipes, traveling the world with Bill, and celebrating life’s milestones with her grandchildren. Marie will be remembered for her kindness, intellect, devotion, and the love she so generously gave.
