McDaniel College will welcome alumni, students, families, and community members for Homecoming 2025 on the weekend of October 24–25, featuring a full lineup of events, including tailgating, football, and the dedication of a new outdoor track.
The festivities begin Friday evening, October 24, with the McDaniel College Athletics Hall of Fame Celebration at 6 PM in Baker Memorial Chapel, where the college will honor former student-athletes who exemplify McDaniel’s tradition of athletic excellence.
Saturday’s activities kick off at 9:30 AM with tailgating leading up to the Green Terror football game against Dickinson College at 1 PM at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium. Just before the game, the college will host the official dedication and ribbon-cutting of the new outdoor track and field facility, named the Dr. Richard A. Clower ’50 Track in honor of alumnus and longtime athletics leader Dick Clower.

Funded entirely by donors, the track will primarily serve the college’s track and field teams but will also be open to other student-athletes, the campus community, and the local Westminster public when not in use for official events.
Clower, a 1950 graduate, professor emeritus, and former director of athletics, will participate in the ceremony alongside his wife, Sherry Clower, who earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from McDaniel. Members of the men’s and women’s track teams will mark the occasion with a ceremonial lap around the new track.
Other highlights on Saturday include the public launch of McDaniel’s “Reaching New Heights” fundraising campaign at 11 AM, the presentation of the Homecoming court, and the awarding of the James Brant Memorial Cup, recognizing excellence in academics, leadership, and service among fraternities and sororities. Halftime will feature a special recognition of the Athletics Hall of Fame honorees. Events will take place primarily at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium, with the full schedule available at mcdaniel.edu/homecoming.
