Michael Joseph Couey, 49, of Sykesville, passed away on December 6, 2025, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Born December 11, 1975, in Baltimore, he was the son of Joyce Anne Hardesty and the late Michael Steven Couey. Michael spent much of his career as an electrical labor foreman, known for his strong work ethic and reliability. An avid outdoorsman, he also enjoyed cooking and was especially proud of his cheesecake. Loyal, determined, and unmistakably stubborn, Michael always stepped up when needed. He is survived by his mother; daughters Delaney Anne and Kendall Mary Couey; and brother Ryan Hardesty.
