Michael Fitzsimmons, 74, passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2025. He was a dedicated IT specialist at the National Archives before retiring in 2019. Michael is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Karen, daughter Laura, grandson James, and another expected grandchild. He also leaves behind eight siblings and many extended family members. Michael was an avid music lover, ukulele player, and cyclist, racing competitively in his youth and later challenging himself in time trials. He volunteered with Caring Carroll and enjoyed spending time with his rescue dog. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
