My Caring Paw Therapy Dog Teams

My Caring Paws is a dedicated volunteer therapy dog organization that brings comfort, joy, and emotional support throughout the community. Founded on the belief that the human‑animal bond can profoundly enrich people’s lives, My Caring Paws is a network of caring individuals and their trained dogs who volunteer their time to provide free therapy visits to those who can benefit from them.

The group is recognized as an approved therapy dog organization by the American Kennel Club (AKC), reflecting its commitment to quality and safety in animal‑assisted interactions.

Since its inception, My Caring Paws has made an extraordinary impact. The organization’s teams have completed more than 2,025 visits, contributing over 3,320 hours of volunteer service and reaching 39,115 people across a wide variety of settings.

This level of community engagement highlights the organization’s sustained effort to bring positive connections and emotional well‑being to individuals of all ages and circumstances.

With approximately 55 active therapy dog teams, My Caring Paws volunteers visit a broad range of facilities on a regular basis. Their outreach includes daily hospital visits and scheduled sessions at hospice care, senior living communities like Carroll Lutheran Village, Copper Ridge, North Pines, and Cross Keys, first‑responder facilities such as 911 dispatch centers, the Rescue Mission, The ARC, local libraries, schools, and many other community venues.

These visits give people the chance to experience warmth, companionship, and stress relief through interaction with gentle, trained therapy dogs.
