Olen B. Gibson, 96, of Mt. Airy, passed away on January 4, 2026, at Carroll Hospital. Born in Virginia, he was the son of the late Broton and Elizabeth Gibson and the devoted husband of the late Eva Gibson. Olen proudly served in the Maryland National Guard and worked for many years as a drywall contractor. He enjoyed trips to Charlestown Casino, especially playing the slot machines. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Bloom; grandchildren Jeffrey Pickett, Jennifer Skiratko, and Parrish Bloom; great-grandchildren Austin Skiratko, Indra Pickett, Eric Bloom, and Jeremy Bloom; as well as his sister-in-law, Betty Gibson, and several nieces and nephews.
