The Carroll County Veterans Independence Project (CCVIP) hosted its annual Red, White and Blue Gala on May 17, offering an evening of entertainment, community spirit and support for local veterans.
The event, held to raise funds for the nonprofit’s operations and services, brought together sponsors, donors and community members for a night dedicated to honoring those who served. Proceeds from the gala will help CCVIP continue its mission of assisting veterans as they navigate federal bureaucracy and meet basic unmet needs.
“In the military, ‘We’ve got your six’ means ‘I’ve got your back,’ and this community has truly shown that it has our veterans’ backs,” said a spokesperson for CCVIP. “Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’re not only maintaining our programs—we’re preparing to expand them.”
CCVIP provides critical support to veterans in Carroll County and beyond, offering
guidance through complex government systems and connecting them with essential resources. Organizers said the funds raised will support both day-to-day operations and
future growth initiatives aimed at reaching more veterans in need.
The gala featured an auction of donated items from local businesses and organizations. Organizers described the evening as “unforgettable” and expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed
