Richard Eugene Covell, 84, of New Windsor, Maryland, passed away on April 8, 2026, at Dove House. Born in Frederick, he was raised by his grandparents, Raymond and Nora Dickensheets. Richard worked for K.W. Miller and Laytonsville Turf in Damascus before retiring. He enjoyed NASCAR, drag racing, and camping. He is survived by his children Darlene Long (Butch), Sandy Gilbert, Pam Covell (Anthony), and Richie Covell Jr.; numerous grandchildren; and his cousin Brenda Hardy. He was predeceased by his grandson Blakely.
