Rita Ann Lawson, 87, of Westminster, passed away on April 9, 2025, at BridgingLife Dove House. Born March 13, 1938, in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Anneke Feenstra and the beloved wife of the late Theodore Lawson. Rita earned her teaching degree from Newark State and worked as an elementary school teacher before retiring. She loved traveling, reading, walking, and hiking. Rita is survived by her children, Heidi Berman (Edmund) and Mark Lawson (Carmen), along with six grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of learning, nature, and the warmth she shared with family and friends.
