Robert “Sonny” Gassaway Jr., 93, of Windsor Mill, MD, died Jan. 28, 2026, at BridgingLife Hospice at Sinai Hospital. Born in Sykesville, he was one of eleven children of Robert Edward and Rosalie Gassaway. Sonny retired from Springfield Hospital Center after many years of service and was a longtime member of White Rock Independent Methodist Church. He was the devoted husband of the late Linda Lee Gassaway. He is survived by his son James, step-daughter Deborah Miller, grandson Travis Grimes, and brothers Josh and Roscoe. He was predeceased by his wife and several siblings.
