Rod Edward Fansler, 81, of Winfield, Maryland, passed away on February 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses. Born September 22, 1944, in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of the late Guy and Alice (Russell) Fansler and a graduate of Yorktown High School. Rod honorably served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. An accomplished accountant with a flawless career, he loved the Blue Ridge Mountains, country music, history, and football. He is survived by his wife Linda, daughters Beth and Grace, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his brothers Guy and Don.
