Saverio Mateo “Sam Martin” Capriolo, 98, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his home. He was the devoted husband of the late Blanche A. Capriolo for 71 years and the son of the late Onofrio and Rosaria Piccico Capriolo. A proud World War II veteran, Sam enlisted in the U.S. Navy on his 18th birthday and was honorably discharged in 1946. He later worked as a printer and proofreader for the U.S. Government Printing Office. He is survived by his children John (Angie), Paul (Anne), Laura (Chris), and daughter-in-law Catherine (Phil), along with 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
