Sister Mary (Mary Helena) Sheehan, 86, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, she was the eldest of seven children. She entered the Daughters of Charity in 1957 and dedicated her life to education, administration, and parish ministry. Sister Mary served as a teacher, principal, and administrator in schools, parishes, and healthcare facilities across several states. She later returned to Emmitsburg for ministries in education and prayer. Predeceased by her parents and two brothers, she is survived by her siblings, extended family, friends, and her Sisters in Community.
