Love It At Stella’s Bridal is partnering with the national nonprofit Brides Across America to thank military members and first responders in a uniquely heartfelt way — by giving away free wedding gowns.
The event, part of the Operation Wedding Gown initiative, will take place on November 7 at 5 S. Center St., Westminster, MD. A selection of designer wedding dresses will be available to eligible brides at no cost.
With over 300 gowns in store, Stella’s Bridal’s experienced team is passionate about helping every bride find the perfect dress and is dedicated to creating an unforgettable bridal experience.
“This is a time to be grateful and spread deserving thanks to those that have given their selfless acts of service to our country,” said Heidi Janson, founder of Brides Across America.
Love It At Stella’s Bridal, which has been serving Maryland brides for more than 60 years and is located in a historic building just off of Westminster’s Main Street, is known for its personalized service and historic location just off Westminster’s Main Street. The shop traces its roots back to the 1960s, when it began as Pacey’s — even making an appearance in the original Hairspray movie produced by Baltimore native John Waters.
Founded in 2008, Brides Across America has donated thousands of gowns nationwide and has been recognized at the White House by Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden as part of the Joining Forces Community Challenge. The organization and its Operation Wedding Gown events have been featured in PEOPLE, Oprah, Good Housekeeping, and on major television networks including NBC, Fox, and CNN.
The giveaway is open to active-duty, veteran, and first responder brides. Participants must register in advance and present proof of occupation on the day of the event. Registration and qualification details are available. For more information or to find a participating bridal salon, visit bridesacrossamerica.com.
