Steven Lewis Knister, 68, of Westminster, MD, and formerly of Pasadena, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. Born March 20, 1957, in Muncie, Indiana, he was the son of Russell Byrne Knister and Beverly Hoffmann Latall. A dedicated veteran, Steven served 25 years in the U.S. Air Force as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist and later worked with the National Security Agency. A man of wit, passion, and curiosity, he loved music, gardening, construction, and global affairs. Married to Carole Smith, he was the proud father of four sons and grandfather to six. Steven will be deeply missed by family and friends.
